The Merriman Family, Ravensworth, Yass

We first used a Courallie J bull in our Hereford herd at Ravensworth in 2010. We purchased him at the Hereford Show & Sale in Wodonga. Since then we have purchased another 4 bulls from Courallie J. These bulls are very uniform with similar attributes. Thier calves are true to type, long, deep and well muscled with above average weight for age and are soft easy doing calves. All the bulls are easy to handle and correct in structure. They are excellent workers, we have averaged 94% conception at preg-testing with the Courallie J Bulls.

I have been a breeder of Hereford since the 1st of September 1960 when the first calf was born in my name and prefix. Since then many Hereford sires bred by many people have passed through my hands. After a period of absense from from direct management of the core herd I decided, in retirement, to return to hands on and commenced buying sires to rebuild on a commercial basis. Since that time all new sires have been selected from the Courallie J program with great results. The predictability and the quality have been the highest I have experienced. having known three generations of the Hann family I know the Herefords they breed will continue to provide seedstock to the advantage of many herds. I can recommend these cattle to all who wish to move their herds and profitability into the next generation.
